Live Music at Bangor Cathedral – Thank You!

A massive thank you to everyone who performed at the concert in Bangor Cathedral on Friday 28th February. When we added all the donations received we had more than £600. This means that with the proceeds of the Moroccan night at The Beach Hut last year we will be able to give Father Randolph, the Bangor Cathedral High Street Chaplain, a cheque for £1000. £500 to the Cathedral Partnership which provides food vouchers for people who sleep on the streets (currently more than 30 people regularly) and £500 for the emergency fund which provides money for just that. For example last year when one of the street sleepers died money was needed to help his friends provide a suitable funeral for him. It made a very big difference to them to be able to give him a ‘proper’ funeral .

So thank you to Steve Huison, Threnody, Y Moniars, Jham , Fiona and Gorwel and Simon for giving their services and time for free. and a huge thank you to everyone who came to listen , enjoy and donate!!

Thanks also to the Cathedral staff who were very helpful and allowed us to use the cathedral for free – the heating was on!! (although it didn’t really feel like it)

Thanks also to Iwan for doing the sound and taking photos – they will appear on this website soon. Meanwhile… you can find some of the contributors on internet. Links to follow.

A big Thank You also to Callum for designing the posters and starting the first local Wham tribute band!

Have a good spring .
