1. Officers Reports

Lindsay gave the treasurers report. She reported that the Charity had raised £2338.07 in the last year. £2000 of which had been given to the Cathedral Partnership in Bangor for feeding and helping the Street homeless in Bangor. The rest apart from £70 donations and £0.06p. interest had been spent on expenses and insurance incurred in street singing, the Llanfairfestival on August Bank Holiday last year and the Spanish Evening.

Linsday suggested that the Bank Account be moved from the Co-operative to the HSBC as the administration of the account was proving difficult with no branch nearby. All members agreed and passed nem con.

Evelyn and Rosie outlined the activities and the successful fundraising ventures during the year. They reported that they were continuing to hold informal singing sessions at the Garth Road Community Centre every 2 weeks on a Friday evening.

It was noted that since Mandy’s death Rosie had been acting as Chairperson with the agreement of all the officers of the Charity. Eileen nominted her to continue as Chairperson, seconded and passed nem con.

Evelyn and Linz were re-elected as Secretary and Treasurer – passed nem con.

2. Any Other Business

Future possible fund raising events were discussed. Liam said that he was organising a Greek night at the Cafe to raise funds. Evelyn also suggested that live music in the Sailing Club could be a good fund raiser. Carol singing in Llanfairfechan was discussed as was a possible event in the Cathedral grounds – to be discussed with Randolph.

Linz said she planning to do a half marathon fund raiser in October and a realy walk was suggested.

Evelyn said she had an offer from a friend who was happy to do print-making classes for the homeless for free  – as long as we could cover materials and expenses. Evelyn suggested the Gallery in Bangor as a possible venue.

Other ideas included car-boot and jumble sales.

Meeting closed.

The committee and members would like to thank Eileen Dewhurst for providing the venue for the meeting and to everyone who attended.
