Moroccan Evening

The Moroccan evening at The Beach Hut Cafe in Llanfairfechan was extremely well attended. A big THANK YOU to everyone who came along and contributed to a very pleasant evening which raised over £400 for a special fund for homeless people in Bangor.

Dave the chef was not at the evening to receive all the compliments for his cooking, but we have passed on all the very positive messages about the food. Thank you Dave.

Steve Boyd entertained us again with his guitar and fittingly opened with a Train to Marrakesh. He was joined for the evening by his daughter Sarah, who played and sang delightfully a number of her own compositions. Thank you Steve and Sarah – and Jane for helping to put up the lights!

Randolph from the Cathedral Project was unable to be there on the night but had explained the need for an Emergency fund. One of the people living on the streets had recently died and there was a need for money to pay for funeral costs etc. The OneHeart Committee agreed that the proceeds from the Moroccan night should go to this fund.

Thank you again for the support of everyone who has helped raise money. It was very good to see familiar and new people at the Cafe. We hope to see you all again at a future event. Please check this website for updates.
